.

the first thing i thought when i landed was that china was pretty grey. not exactly foggy, just a grey mist, and the sky is grey as well, so all in all it looked rather bleak. of course right now it is also quite a bit colder than singapore, but i am getting used to the temperature (hopefully due to natural adaptation and not weight gain) and quite like the feeling of not sweating for an entire day.

as everyone who has talked to me knows, i am now being stuffed by my grandparents. needless to say i am not too happy about that since no one wants to put on weight, not that that is going to convince my grandparents to let me eat my normal portion. you would agree that singaporeans eat too little since i eat a fair amount by singaporean standards but here in china my eight-year-old cousin eats more than me. hmmph.

so far i'm done little more than walk around the university so will write more when my life is more stimulating. it is probably unwise to write this on a blog, but i've realised that here in china, everywhere are pirated goods galore. so now i've a stack of movies to occupy me before lessons start. how ironic to watch brokeback mountain here when it is banned from screening in the cinemas.

by the way i can log on to blogger but not blogspot addresses, so i can post but i can't see my blog unless i use preview under template. i don't understand why blogger is allowed but not the blogspot addresses. so now you have to email to update me on your lives since i can't visit blogs. as for updates on my boring life you can tune in here.
